ACT Log Book System - Car
At Smartto Driving Academy, we support learners through the ACT Log Book Training and Assessment system. Our accredited instructors conduct log book reviews and guide you toward your final driving test assessment. Upon successful completion, a Certificate of Competency will be issued for your ACT 'P' (Provisional) Driver Licence.
ACT Log Book Hour Credits:
For every 1 hour of driving with an accredited driving instructor, you receive 3 logbook hours. This applies to your first 10 instructor hours (maximum of 30 logbook hours credited). After first 10 hours, each hour equals 1 logbook hour. This helps you progress more quickly through your required logbook hours.
NSW Log Book Hours- Car
Comprehensive Support to Pass Your Final Driving Test with Confidence – Service NSW. At Smartto Driving Academy, our NSW-accredited driving instructors are here to guide you through every step of your licensing journey — from your first lesson to the final test. Heavy vehicle licencing – trucks
We provide a Heavy Vehicle training and final assessments for the following licence classes:
Light Rigid (LR) Licence
This licence entitles the holder to operate a vehicle: i) A vehicle with a GVM over 4.5 tonnes but not over 8 tonnes. ii) A vehicle constructed to seat more than 12 adults (including driver). iii) Towing a single trailer with GVM not over 9 tonnes.
Medium Rigid (MR) Vehicle
This licence entitles the holder to operate a vehicle: i) A rigid vehicle with 2 axles and GVM over 8 tonnes. ii) Towing a single trailer with GVM not over 9 tonnes.
"B" Condition Removal
Obtain a full licence without any conditions.
'B' Removal More Info & FeesHeavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle
This licence entitles the holder to operate a vehicle: i) A rigid vehicle with 3 or more axles and GVM over 8 tonnes. ii) An articulated bus with 3 or more axles and GVM over 8 tonnes. iii) Towing a single trailer with GVM not over 9 tonnes.
Heavy Combination (HC) Vehicle
This licence entitles the holder to operate a vehicle: i) A prime mover with a single semitrailer, plus any unladen converter dolly. ii) A rigid vehicle towing a trailer with GVM over 9 tonnes, plus any unladen converter dolly.
Multi Combination (MC) Vehicle
This licence entitles the holder to operate a vehicle: i) Any heavy vehicle or combination, including B-doubles and road trains. ii) This is the highest class of vehicle licence (excluding motorcycles)
Upon successful completion of the Heavfinal assessment, you will be issued a Competency Certificate. This certificate must be submitted to the appropriate State or Territory Transport Licensing Authority (e.g., Access Canberra in the ACT), along with all other required documents, to upgrade your licence to the appropriate Heavy Vehicle class.
Awards
At Smartto, our team includes ACT Government Accredited Driving Instructors (ADI) and Heavy Vehicle Assessors (HVA). We are fully qualified to deliver driver training and conduct final licence assessments on behalf of the ACT Government. Upon successful completion of your training and final driving test, you will receive an official Certificate of Competency. This certificate must be submitted to the appropriate State or Territory Transport Licensing Authority — for example, Access Canberra in the ACT — along with the required documents in order to:
Obtain a Car Driver Licence, or Upgrade to a Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence. NSW Government Accredited Driving Instructor (ADI): At Smartto, we offer training with NSW Government-approved Licensed Driving Instructors (ADI) to help prepare you for your Final Driving Assessment Test for a Car Driver Licence, Our instructors provide expert training to help you build the skills and confidence needed to meet NSW licensing standards. If you are upgrading to a Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence, our accredited assessors will guide you through the full training and assessment process. Upon successful completion, you will receive a: National Heavy Vehicle Practical Driver Assessment Certificate of Competency.
